This session will first define simple and practical modifications instructors can make to OER content so that the content is more equitable and inclusive. This will enable students to better see themselves in the content they're studying. Student voices will be incorporated directly into the curriculum. Examples of lessons representing multiple cultures in the standard curriculum will be shared. Enabling students to do collaborative problem solving using digital tools (in-person or remote) and to use multiple types of media to create solutions will also be demonstrated.

Secondly, the session will demonstrate open source software that enables OER content to be modified and used via WIFI without internet access or an institutional platform. This significantly increases access to digital material for underserved or remote areas. It also enables instructors or teams of instructors to try out OER digital content in their classes without internet access or an institutional platform.
